Procession for the Dead

Throughout the year, the Carmelite’s daily intercession for the Holy Souls is solemnly marked by special 3-day event of Masses, Processions and Offices of the Dead held three times annually called the Ternary: in February, during the Easter season, and at Michaelmas. At these times, a Mass is offered each day followed by the praying of the Office for the Dead as the Sisters process among the graves of their community members, benefactors, loved ones, and the forgotten dead—bearing witness to the Church’s enduring belief that no soul is ever forgotten before God.

The Sisters invite you to entrust the names of your departed loved ones to their prayer.

3 Processions.

During the Ternary, the Sisters will have a taper candle lit in the Oratory for each of those enrolled.
